Technical Business Analyst with Insurance Expertise

About this role

To strengthen our growing team, we are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst (BA) with a background in insurance. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of software development and insurance innovation, driving advancements in digital solutions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital insurance by engaging with stakeholders, analyzing service requests, and collaborating with development teams to deliver robust digital solutions. The role allows active participation in the digital transformation of the insurance and wealth management industries while working in interdisciplinary and multinational Scrum teams at the interface between technical and business processes.

Your responsibilities
  • Analyze service requests and coordinate solutions in collaboration with development teams
  • Conduct functional, process, and error analyses while evaluating new requirements in digital wealth management and insurance platforms
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the insurance platform, covering technical components (databases, APIs, user interfaces) and business aspects (policy management, claims handling, risk assessment)
  • Participate in client-service calls and support the organizational preparation of patches/releases
  • Engage with stakeholders (sales, project teams) to gather, refine, and validate requirements, ensuring clarity and feasibility
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to translate business needs into detailed, actionable user stories that align with technical and business goals
  • Conduct process reviews and validate newly implemented functionalities to ensure alignment with client needs and business objectives
  • Proactively interact with internal IT and product teams (Product Owners) to contribute to the platform's long-term development
Your qualifications, skills and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable field
  • 3 -5 years of experience in technical business analysis, preferably with exposure to insurance or wealth management domains
  • Strong understanding of insurance industry processes, such as policy management, claims processing, and risk assessment
  • Proficiency in working with APIs and understanding how multiple systems interact
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience collaborating with diverse technical and business stakeholders
  • Business fluency in English, Arabic is a plus
  • SQL knowledge is a plus
  • Understanding of future trends in Wealth Management, Retail Banking, and Insurance is advantageous
